Nkiruka Agbazue-Udodi, DNP, APN-A
Dr. Nkiruka Agbazue-Udodi was born into a large extended family system in the southeastern part of Nigeria.
Her guiding principle about life is hinged upon the philosophy of interdependence and that the quality of her existence is based on the overall well being of her society. Her academic background and interests mirror her personal philosophy.
Dr. Udodi has a first degree in the social sciences in Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. After graduation, she worked as a volunteer in her parent’s Christian organization. During this period working as a volunteer, she realized how much pleasure she derived from helping people hence the change in her career path. She obtained her nursing degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey, her Masters in Nurse Anesthesia from Thomas Jefferson University, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from Chatham University. Practicing as an anesthetist also solidified her desire to have a more positive impact in areas of mentorship, outreach programs, and education.
Dr. Udodi joined as a cofounder of the Nigerian American Nurse Anesthetist Association (NANAA) to provide a platform to help facilitate a collective voice of the Nigerian CRNAs in America. Her desire is to join forces in mobilizing and impacting all sectors of the community through missions and healthcare reliefs as well as nurturing the new generation of CRNAs. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), the founder and CEO of the HELLO-International non profit organization and the CEO of Nkiruka Nwobu Anesthesia services LLC.
